Stephanie has just been for her 8 week check up and she is just perfect as I already knew. She particularly had to have her hips checked because she was breech but everything is just spot on. Stephanie is such a delightful little girl happy and laughing and bright Last Wednesday she smiled at me for the first time. She’s actually been smiling for a long time, weeks and weeks actually since she was born. The difference is now she looks at me and smiles in response to me. She smiled for the first time on Saturday for Will and he was so happy. He misses her so much when he’s at work and hates that he’s missing out on things like this and time with her.
I take Stephanie on loads of walks and massage her and let her kick in the winter sun all the time. She loves having her pants off. She is also incredibly strong on her front and can lift her head and look around. At “New Mothers Group” which I go to on Wednesdays everyone was admiring her and saying how happy she was and how strong.
As far as knowing what she wants each day, it’s getting easier for me. She is such a good baby though, hardly crying, sleeping well without having to be patted or rocked and generally just a pleasure. I’m still feeding her a couple of times in the night but the good news is after a feed she settles straight back to sleep. I wonder if she’ll ever sleep through the night???
